Bark on Biddle, an annual celebration of all things canine, returns to downtown Wyandotte Friday through Sunday, May 29-31.
This is the festival’s 10th year. It takes place along the riverfront in the parking lot just off Oak Street, east of Biddle Avenue, and at Bishop Park.
Event hours are 4-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Admission is $5; children 12 and under are free.
A highlight of the event is the Ultimate Air Dogs Jumping Competition, in which dogs jump from a dock into a large pool of water. Various contests will be held on all three days of the festival. For more information, visit https://www.ultimateairdogs.com/schedule.html.
A lure course will be open throughout the festival – a place for your dog to chase artificial squirrels, bunnies or blowing leaves, giving your canine the thrill of the chase in a controlled environment. Additional fees apply.

The festival also features a wide selection of contests throughout the weekend for a chance to win prizes. Your dog could be crowned for best costume, best smooch or other attributes. To register, sign up at the side of the stage at least 30 minutes before each contest starts.
New this year, the Michigan State Police will present K9 officer demonstrations, showcasing the skill, discipline, and teamwork of their police dogs, at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
There will be plenty of food, vendors and live music to entertain two-legged and four-legged guests.
All well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend but must remain on a 6-foot leash at all times — no retractable leashes allowed. Dogs showing signs of aggression will be asked to leave for the safety of guests and pets. Remember to clean up after your pet. Dog drinking stations will be available throughout the venue. Outside coolers and chairs are not permitted.
