JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – The Arkansas Department of Agriculture wants you to be on the lookout for a new scam.
In a Facebook post, the department said it has been made aware that fraudulent emails about payments are being sent by people falsely claiming to represent the department.
Officials said to always check the sender’s email address, as official messages from the agency will come from an address ending in arkansas.gov.
If you don’t recognize the name of the person emailing you, contact a representative of the department. When in doubt, reach out to the department by calling 501-225-1598 or by emailing agri.info@arkansas.gov.
