Meet the North Jersey adoptable pets of the week for May 8!

Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues.

If you foster, work at, or volunteer with a North Jersey animal shelter or rescue and know of some animals who are in need of a loving fur-ever home please send a photo, description and adoption information to amwallace@usatodayco.com to have your adoptable pets featured in the next edition.

This week we are featuring Brownie and Damon from Peyton’s Safe Haven.

Brownie and Damon

Brownie and Damon are 1-year-old siblings. The rescue believes they are a mix of Australian shepherd and lab. These two are a perfect pair and Peyton’s Safe Haven would love to keep them together if possible.

Damon would really love to stay with his sister, though Brownie probably couldn’t care less, according to the rescue. While she is super easygoing, Brownie is not afraid to tell Damon when enough is enough, and he absolutely respects that.

They are great with other dogs and children and are kennel and potty trained. Although they love to play, they are not very high-energy.
