For years, the online frauds have been telling people that they can get a lot of money from doing simple stuff online, such as playing this game, or doing that task, or even from watching ads. Many people who are trying to get financial addition believe that and immediately start making hopes and wasting their time by trying to gain a few dollars by trying those apps and websites, only to end up realizing that they only gained a few cents and that making a single dollar could be really exhausting and hard.
This is coming from a personal experience; as someone who’s been, for years and years, trying to make money online, I’ve come to the conclusion that most of those sites and apps are just a big waste of time. I have spent countless nights staring at screens, clicking on repetitive surveys, and downloading shady applications that promised a “passive income” or a “quick side hustle.” In the end, the only people getting rich from those apps are the developers themselves, who use your data and your time to fuel their own advertising revenue.
Does that mean that you can’t make money online?
Well, you can, but in order to ensure that, you need followers. Yes, followers is the keyword.
Many people don’t want to start a YouTube channel, or become content creators on Instagram or TikTok because it’s a very long journey and could be difficult to get followers, but they don’t realize that in order to make actual money you need those followers even if you become a seller or marketer or even service provider. Even my article won’t be read or seen by many since I don’t have followers, which means it’s pointless on the financial level, but I’m going to express my thoughts on this matter anyway.
The Illusion of “Easy Tasks”
Let’s look at the reality of these “micro-task” websites. They often target people who are desperate for a financial breakthrough. They show you shiny dashboards and “proof of payment” screenshots that are often faked or belong to a tiny percentage of users. When you actually dive in, you realize that a task that takes 30 minutes of your life might only pay you $0.05. If you calculate the hourly rate, it’s far below the minimum wage of any country. It is a modern form of digital labor exploitation disguised as a “fun opportunity.”
Furthermore, many of these platforms have a “minimum withdrawal” limit. They might require you to reach $50 before you can cash out, but they will stop giving you tasks once you reach $45. This keeps you trapped in their ecosystem, working for free while chasing a reward that will never come. This is why I say they are lying to you; they aren’t selling you a job, they are selling you a dream to keep you clicking.
Why Numbers Matter More Than Skills
In the modern digital economy, attention is the most valuable currency. You could be the most talented artist, the smartest programmer, or the best writer, but if nobody knows you exist, you have zero market value. This is a hard truth to swallow. When you have a following, whether it’s 1,000 or 100,000 people, you have leverage. You can sell a digital product, you can get sponsorships, or you can simply drive traffic to a blog that pays you for views.
Without followers, you are just another voice in a crowded room of billions. Even if you are a freelancer offering services, you still need “social proof” or a network to get high-paying clients. The “get rich quick” apps try to bypass this fundamental rule of business, which is why they always fail. They promise you the money without the influence, but in the online world, one cannot exist without the other.
So, to clarify things:
You can’t make real money online from doing the tasks and using the apps they tell you about. The only way to make enough and real money online is by making content that attracts too many views and followers. Anything other than that is just a false promise. If you want to change your financial situation, stop looking for “easy apps” and start building a community. It is a long, hard road, but it is the only one that actually leads to a paycheck.
