
Rocket Agency has expanded its creative division, appointing Oscar Birken creative and operations lead to head design, copywriting and digital experience.
Birken joins from Joy, Publicis and Ogilvy.
Leesa Mealing joins as digital creative lead, with more than 15 years’ experience across Australia and the UK spanning UI/UX, ecommerce and video.
Davy Dubouchet has been promoted to web experience and automation lead.
The agency has brought in Ben Hyde as senior designer, previously at The Being Group, Beauhurst and DJ Mag and Emily Newberry as senior copywriter after nine years at The Being Group, where she was associate creative director of copywriting.
Robert Pain has been promoted to content manager while Jen Lambert joins as digital account manager from WE Communications Australia.
James Lawrence, co-founder of Rocket, said the agency had delivered award-winning campaigns for clients including Snap Print Solutions and the University of Notre Dame.
“The calibre of talent joining Rocket right now is setting us up for an even stronger 2026,” Lawrence said.
Birken said the team had achieved strong results.
“My focus will be on continuing that momentum by uniting creative thinking with digital performance to deliver work that truly moves the needle for our clients,” he said.
Rocket is an independent digital marketing agency with more than 60 staff.
