MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A blogger was hit with a $75K verdict on Monday for an A.I. deepfake of famous rapper, Megan Thee Stallion.
A federal jury in Miami has ordered blogger Milagro Cooper to pay $75,000 in damages to rapper Megan Thee Stallion after finding her liable for promoting an A.I.-generated deepfake porn video that the artist says cost her million-dollar brand deals.
The verdict came after two days of deliberations in a case that accused Cooper — also known as Milagro Grams — of defamation, invasion of privacy, and emotional distress. Megan argued that the viral spread of the fake video damaged her reputation and led to the loss of major endorsements.

Cooper may also be responsible for covering Megan’s legal fees, marking a significant win for the rapper and raising broader concerns about the dangers of AI-generated content, according to our news partners at WSVN.
