Microsoft has just released two new Windows 11 preview builds for Insiders on the Dev and Beta Channels. The new bits bring minor improvements for the new AI agent in Settings on Copilot+ PCs. The new Drag Tray feature is also getting support for multi-file sharing.
The following changes are included on both the Dev build 26220.6780 and Beta build 26120.6780:
Recommended Settings: For Insiders with Copilot PCs, the AI agent in Settings now makes it easier to change recommended settings right from the app’s homepage. There’s a new inline agent action on the mage to adjust recently modified settings under “Recommended settings”.
Settings Search: When searching for settings in the app, the AI agent will now show more actionable actions to quickly modify settings. That can be for increasing display scale or adjusting volume on the fly.
Drag Tray improvements: The Drag Tray UI that shows up when dragging a file at the top of the screen now supports multi-file sharing. The pop-up window will also suggest more relevant apps and the option to move files to other folders.
Click to Do improvements: Windows 11 now shows visual cues to make key entities such as emails, tables, and more visible when Click to Do is launched.
Dark mode improvements: Microsoft continues to improve dark mode across Windows 11, and this time, the Run dialog is now available in dark.
After installing these new builds, Insiders will also notice a redesigned OneDrive icon in the Settings app. Microsoft is once again giving the icons for its Microsoft 365 apps a fresh coat of paint, and this will be a gradual rollout. You can check out the new icons on the Microsoft Design blog.
