As you might know, I’m closer to age 100 than 0. I’ve been married for over 30 years and have a number of kids.
One thing I have *always* endeavored to teach everyone in my family?
NEVER EVER EVER let yourself be taken for granted.
It took me a heck of a loooong time to internalize this meself – part of my neuro-diverseness is was fear of losing people. But you know what? If you allow yourself to be taken for granted, stomping on you is next natural course of action.
Your takeaway? You are a brilliant, shining gift to those in your life; you truly are. Don’t fear to lose people; if you are expending more effort to show appreciation than their 0 level effort, simply walk away.
You’re worth it!
