Ethics of AI in Education: How Can We Balance Innovation with Responsibility

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming education, offering data driven insights, personalised learning, interactive pedagogical tools, and early risk screening. However, these advancements also raise ethical concerns around student’s data privacy, algorithmic bias, decision transparency, educator autonomy and student agency in AI-driven classrooms.

In light of these challenges, as part of the CNED Development Dialogue, we are organizing a panel discussion on the theme: ‘Ethics of AI in Education: Balancing Innovation with Responsibility. The panel will bring together experts from diverse fields to understand key aspects of responsible and student-centric AI adoption in India. Key discussion point will include:

  • How can India design and implement AI-driven learning systems that are not only innovative but also ethical, accountable, and inclusive?
  • What frameworks are necessary to protect student data, and mitigate risks related to privacy and bias?
  • What role can policy play in fostering a balance between technological innovation and the preservation of core educational values?

Join us as we explore the future of AI-driven learning in India—where it can empower students, respect ethical boundaries, and ensure equitable access to educational opportunities for all.
