A clumsy pet dog had to be rescued not once, but twice from the family pool after she got confused at which way was up.
Chloe the miniature schnauzer was following her human, Shannon, along the edge of the pool at their Adelaide property, when the poor pup lost her footing and slipped in.
When Shannon realised Chloe wasn’t coming to the surface, she panicked and jumped right in after her.

Security footage shows Shannon scrambling to get Chloe’s head above water, but once back on dry land, the dog accidentally went back in – needing to be rescued a second time.
“She had vestibular disease last year and she’s pretty much recovered, but apparently it’s affecting her ability to know up from down a little bit,” Shannon told Today.
“So I think she knew how to swim, she was just not swimming the right way.
“We got her out and we had a good laugh about it and then five minutes later she went and did it again.”
The video of Chloe’s rescue has been viewed an astounding 49 million times online, but there is one part of the viral footage which has many saying the same thing.
All while she was struggling to rescue Chloe and get her to the edge of the pool, Shannon’s dad Vincent can be seen idly watching on as he munches away in his bowl of cereal.

“I was having some cereal and I didn’t think Chloe would fall in, I said that to Shannon and suddenly she’s in the pool,” Vincent told Today.
“I was a little bit slow to react, I thought Shannon had it under control, but then it just seemed to be getting worse.”
