Nonorganic Food Hacks

Shun General Organic!

The Organic Foods industry is one of the biggest moneymakers in consumerism today.

What does Organic mean to you?

  • Healthier?
  • More industrious?
  • Better for your family?

The USDA defines “organic” like so:

“…USDA certified organic foods are grown and processed according to federal guidelines addressing, among many factors, soil quality, animal raising practices, pest and weed control, and use of additives. Organic producers rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical, or biologically based farming methods to the fullest extent possible….”

Notice how there’s nothing, zero, zip, whatever, regarding nutrition.

“Organically grown” refers to a *process*, not an “addition” to your food.

The whole Organic industry has grown into a fear-mongering blight in consumers lives today…. so all MamaBear will say about it is….

Here at the Virtual Coach – we don’t do organic.

We do cost-conscious and frugal, mind you….

We love making gourmet meals out of discounted specials from the grocery store…

But organic?

SHUN!  SHUN!

Which brings me to the next rather critical point:

What Food Hacks Can Mean To You

So what can food hacks mean to you?

Well, it’s all up to your personal beliefs.  If you do love organic foods, and you can afford to pay the extra price for the label, and you have desire whatsoever to change….

That’s perfectly fine.  Remember, here at the Virtual Coach…

We never judge!

For us, food hacks mean simply eating AND enjoying food!

That means if a new idea occurs to you for reusing leftovers….

Or you see something on sale that you’ve never tried before…

Or you’re awakened out of a deep sleep with an insane desire to go beyond Food Network….

Woot!

Remember:  An educated consumer is the best customer… and that’s what we’re here to show you!

Speaking of educated consumers (and not), let’s also discuss:

What Food Hacks Can Mean To Others

Let them do that.

Don’t let them bother you!

You know what’s best for your family… and if you don’t know, you can always research!
